ART OF WIESBADEN - ART FROM WIESBADEN
22. - 30. November 2022

Exhibition “Art in Wiesbaden – Art from Wiesbaden” in the town hall
On Tuesday, November 22, at 1 p.m., Mayor Gert-Uwe Mende will open the exhibition “Art in Wiesbaden – Art from Wiesbaden” in the foyer of the town hall, Schlossplatz 6.
In the exhibition, six members of the "505 Art on the Rhine" group, together with three guests, have artistically translated their perspectives on the city of Wiesbaden. Around 50 works illuminate the multifaceted Wiesbaden from various perspectives. The aim is to convey to visitors an intensive picture of Wiesbaden – of artists from Wiesbaden who live and work with this city and the river. Annette Scharner founded the artist group "505 Art on the Rhine" in 2019 to revitalize the art scene in Biebrich and the neighboring suburbs on the Rhine and to create a network among visual artists. Since then, the artist group has met regularly in one of its studios, exchanged ideas, and planned exhibitions and events. Following the mayor's welcome, Anette Scharner and Wolfgang Blanke will introduce the exhibition. Ilse Schröder will provide musical accompaniment on the saxophone.
The exhibition is open from November 22nd to November 30th, Monday to Friday from 10am to 7pm and Saturday from 10am to 3pm, with free admission.
